Process of a Commission

The following text is informal and in no way legally binding. This text serves as an overview and has the purpose to make the process of a Commission Work easier to understand and to shine light onto some parts.

    1. Contact between Client and Artist
    2. Rough description of the Client's requirements regarding a Commission
    3. Discussion between both parties with the aim of formulating "Commission Agreement"
    4. Client reads the given Terms of Service
    5. Optional: Client needs to rethink the requirements and starts anew at "1."
    6. Client and Artist agree on the requirements and on a "Commission Agreement"
    7. Artist creates and provides a Cost Estimate
    8. Client agrees to the Cost Estimate
    9. Artist signals the Client when a Start of Work will be possible
    10. Client pays the amount stated in the cost estimate (this needs to be paid before the Artist actually begins with the actual work)
    11. Artist starts after the monetary amount was received
    12. Optional and depending on the agreement: Artist updates and informs the Client in specified intervals
    13. Artist concludes their work and creates an invoice
    14. Client receives the invoice
    15. Client pays the balance (Invoice amount minus paid Cost Estimate)
    16. Artist packs up the Commission and hands it over for transit (shipping to the Client)

    Additional Notes:

    • Cost Estimate includes an estimated value of material and labor and the Client needs to pay the mentioned amount. The given amount can vary between 50% and 100% of the estimated value.
    • The (final) invoice will state and take the already paid amount into account
    • The Client will pay for packaging and shipping (and also VAT and taxes)
    • It can be possible that the Client wishes Changes to be made to the Commission Work. If a Change is possible and the Artist agrees to it, a Change Request needs to be made and it will extend the costs of the whole Commission.
    • Clients under 18 cannot order a Commission unless they provide a legal guardian as an additional contact for the Artist
    • If the creation of a "Commission Agreement" takes a lot of time, than this time will also be part of the to be paid time of the Artist (the Artist will inform the Client in that regard before agreeing to a commission)
    • The Artist will not accept mass orders (i.e. whole tabletop armies or game collections)
    • The Terms of Service are provided in English only (due to the international appearance of the Artist)
    • The Artist will only communicate in English or optional also in German
    • The Client needs to be able to communicate in English or German (attempts to communicate in other languages will be ignored)
